LGBTQ+ ARTISTS 2017 studies show that 6% of Europeans Identify as LGBTQ+, 9% of the UK identify openly as LGBTQ+. Furthermore, 34% of transgender people pursue a role in the arts, 21% of all LGBTQ+ pursue a carrier in art. A more recent survey showed that 92% of all LGBTQ+ consumers are self-proclaimed music fans, LGBT fans individually spend roughly $234 a year on music, 48% more than non-LGBT listeners. 53% of LGBTQ+ music listeners claim they would be “lost” without music and 62% say they can’t imagine their life without music.
